The company says the delay in its hookup to the national gas pipeline network put it at risk of closing.
The cabinet today approved a natural gas hookup for the Tziporit industrial zone in Upper Nazareth, where the troubled Phoenicia Israel-America Flat Glass Ltd. is located. The company says the delay in its hookup to the national gas pipeline network put it at risk of closing. The company has 400 employees.
Although the national gas pipeline network will pass by the entrance to the industrial zone, without hookups to the enterprises in it, such as Phoenicia Flat Glass, they can benefit from the cheaper natural gas for use in production processes.
