Shine Security has raised $3.3 million in its first financing round from Li Ka-shing’s Horizon Ventures and Initial Capital. The start up is developing a smart system to protect mobile phones by hermetically sealing the operating systems of smartphones using Android, Windows 8 or iOS.

The company was founded in 2011 by hacking experts CEO Ron Porat, CTO Andrey Bayora, COO Oren Farage, and VP R&D Alon Bayer Gat.

Porat said, "The sophistication of our technology matches the hackers' sophistication."

Porat previously founded Seeker Security, which was sold to French company Quotium in the summer, and Hacktics, which sold its consultancy business to Ernst & Young Global Ltd.
