The Kinneret's water level rose strongly over the weekend. The Water Authority announced that the water level rose by another 13 centimeters from Thursday through Sunday morning, to 211.07 meters below sea level.
The Kinneret's water level will continue to rise in the coming days, and should rise by at least a further 45 centimeters by the end of January from the strong river flows from the Golan and Galilee.
Since the start of last week's storm, the Kinneret's water level has risen 84 centimeters, and is now 1.93 meters above the lower red line and 2.27 meters below the upper red line.
No rain is forecast this week, but more rain is forecast from the middle of next week (election day), especially in northern and central Israel. The precipitation will further raise the Kinneret's water level in the coming weeks.
