Better Place offers fixed price electricity for six years

The electric car venture delivered 113 vehicles in February, up from 105 in January and five in December.

Better Place Inc. is continuing to recover from its frequent changes in CEO. Hebrew daily "Yediot Ahronot" reports that the company delivered 113 electric cars in February, up from 105 cars in January and five in December.

More than 730 of the company's electric cars are now on Israel's roads.

Beginning this week, existing Better Place customers will become its salespeople. Some customers will participate in a new sales campaign, and others will host home-based electric cars sales events for friends and family. Better Place initiated the measures after its data showed that 88% of customers said that they would again buy the Renault Fluence ZE electric car.

Better Place has also launched a new sales campaign, in which it is offering the Renault Fluence ZE with installments over six years and a fixed electricity price. The NIS 128,000 car will be sold for a NIS 20,000 down payment and 72 monthly installments of NIS 2,000, including electricity for 1,000 kilometers and a home recharging outlet.

The price of the electricity and of the complete transaction will not rise beyond the rise in the Consumer Price Index (CPI), even if the price of gasoline rises at a higher rate.
