Liquidators petitioned the court to immediately fire, without a hearing, two-thirds of the electric car venture's workforce.
Better Place's liquidators yesterday petitioned the Central District Court in Lod to immediately fire, without a hearing, 209 employees of the electric car venture, two-thirds of its workforce. Adv. Sigal Rozen-Rachev and Adv. Shaul Kotler told the court that they reached an agreement with employees' attorney and representatives to reduce its workforce to 111 employees.
The liquidators also asked the court to authorize the payment of an amount equal to their May salaries from the liquidation account, as a down payment on what they are owed up to the amount set by legal priority.
On Tuesday, the court accepted Rozen-Rechav's request to immediately fire some of Better Place's employees. Judge Ilan Shiloh said, "There is room to immediately substantially reduce the number of employees and, of course, the necessary activity."
