Social network parking app Parko reaches 60,000 users

The parking app has signed an agreement with Pink Park to allow Parko users to find free parking spaces in Tel Aviv.

Parking app Parko Ltd. has reached 60,000 users, and is planning to launch a new version of its product next week which will include collaboration with Pink Park Ltd.

The new Parko app for iPhones and Android devices will make it possible to use the app to find both free and for-pay parking spaces. If no street parking is available, the app will direct the user to nearest and cheapest parking lot with space available, and direct the user to it.

The new version will also search for private parking spaces through Pink Park. Parko users will receive the first free parking space. Pink Park offers allows shop owners in Tel Aviv to make money from their parking spaces at home when they are away.

Parko is a social network for parking. Users are notified about nearby parking spaces that are about to become available by other users. The user who notifies the imminent availability of his parking space receives virtual money for receiving prizes.

Parko raised $500,000 in its first financing round through crowdfunding site OurCrowd a few months ago, and is about to hold its second financing round, estimated at $3 million.
