Gemini to make high return on Adap.tv sale

Gemini Israel Ventures, which owns 15% of Adap.tv, will see a return of $60 million from its sale to AOL.

Gemini Israel Ventures, the first investor in Adap.tv Inc., which owns 15% of the company, will see a return of $60 million from its sale to AOL Inc. (NYSE: AOL) for $405 million. Adap.tv raised $43 million altogether, according to Israel Venture Association.

US fund Bessemer Venture Partners, which invested in Adap.tv in 2011, owns 15-20% of the company and will make $60-70 million on the sale, a respectable return on investment in such a short time. Adap.tv's founders, including CEO Amir Ashkenazi, own 15-20% of the company.
