Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that, "the IDF is ready to defend against any threat."
"Pursuant to the security consultation that was held today, there is no reason to change daily routines," said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a statement following today's meeting by the security cabinet. "At the same time, we are prepared for any scenario. The IDF is ready to defend against any threat and to respond strongly against any attempt to harm Israeli citizens," he added.
The IDF is deploying a second Iron Dome battery in the north, in addition to the battery in Haifa, as part of the security alert in view of the expected US strike on Syria. In addition, reports in Lebanon claim sorties by Israel Air Force planes over southern Lebanon.
Long queues developed today outside gas mask distribution centers.
