A luxury home on Neve Shalom Street in Tel Aviv's Neve Tzedek neighborhood has been sold for NIS 6.8 million. The house was sold by a new immigrant from Germany who lives in Tel Aviv's Park Tzameret project to a new immigrant from France who has been living in Israel since 2000.
The buyer is the daughter of Jean-Claude Darmon, a French billionaire involved in sports marketing rights. The seller, who is represented by Adv. Maimon Avitan, is seeking to realize the betterment tax exemption that will no longer apply in January 2014. The Neve Tzedek home stands on a 94 square meter lot, and it includes three-floors totaling 167 square meters as well as a 15 square meter balcony and 17 square meter garden.
The house, which was built in 1917, also has historical significance as it served as the first bakery in Tel Aviv outside of Jaffa. The German immigrant bought the house three years ago for NIS 4.8 million in a dilapidated condition and has carried out a comprehensive renovation.
