DIY mobile page design co Visualead raises $1.6m

Visualead is a visual QR code and mobile page design platform that is used by 200,000 SMBs worldwide to promote their business offline.

Visualead announced today that it has raised $1.6 million in Series A funding from a consortium of internet and digital media venture capitalists, led by Kaedan Capital and Entrée Capital. Visualead is a visual QR code and mobile page design platform that is used by 200,000 SMBs worldwide to promote their business offline.

The company said that the proceeds will be used to further develop and boost the growth of its “Do-it-Yourself” platform for the design of visual QR codes and mobile pages campaigns, to increase distribution of its white label solutions, and to implement its worldwide IP strategy.

Founded in 2012 by CEO Nevo Alva, Visualead set out to help businesses attract and interact with their customers. Using proprietary technology, Visualead developed a platform that lets any business quickly merge QR codes into any design or advertisement in just a few simple steps to draw potential customers into an optimized mobile experience. Visualead's platform is now being used by familiar brands and SMBs worldwide.

Alva said, “We help businesses interact with their customers and grow their business. Visual QR codes are creative, branded and the most effective way to draw potential customers into mobile. Our platform is super easy to use and increases campaign ROI by up to 400%, any business should use it!"

In May 2013, Visualead won the Growth Stage G-Startup contest at the GMIC conference in Beijing.
