Healthcare expenses co Simplee raises $10m

The funding was led by Heritage Group with participation from existing investors, The Social+Capital Partnership, Greylock Partners Israel.

Online personal healthcare expenses management service Simplee Inc. has raised $10 million in a Series B financing round. The funding was led by Heritage Group with participation from existing investors, The Social+Capital Partnership and Greylock Partners Israel.

The company has raised $18 million to date including the latest financing round.

Simplee was founded in 2011 by CEO Tomer Shoval, COO Roberto Rabinovich, and CTO Tom Tsarfati. Headquartered in Palo Alto, it has an R&D center in Petah Tikva. It is a free online tool that categorizes and explains all medical, dental, vision and pharmacy expenses in plain language. Its solution is a method for tracking, reviewing, and paying medical claims and bills online. At the same time the company's SimpleePAY platform gives hospitals the ability to more easily distribute and collect bills.

Simplee also announced that Emergency Medicine Associates, a provider of ER services in the Washington D.C. area, will begin using its SimpleePAY platform.
