Petitioners re-file High Court appeal against gas exports

The petitioners have filed a clarification with the High Court claiming that the seven justice panel did not present their appeal in the correct way.

The petitioners against gas exports have filed a clarification with the High Court of Justice in Jerusalem claiming that the seven justice panel did not present their appeal in the correct way.

After their petition was rejected yesterday by five votes against two, the clarification announcement was filed this evening in an extraordinary move by the petitioners - Labor chairperson MK Shelly Yachimovich, MK Reuven Rivlin (Likud-Beitenu) and MK Moshe Gafni (United Torah Judaism), the Academic Center for Law and Business, the Israel Forum for Energy, and the Bat Kaima Economic NGO.

Yesterday's High Court ruling that the cabinet could decide on gas exports was laconic and said that its reasoning would be published at a later date.

The petitioners claim that, "the appeal was presented in a distorted way."
