ApiFix has developed a minimally invasive surgical procedure solution for those suffering from deformities using a smart implant involving just two screws. ApiFix, based at Trendlines Misgav medical technologies incubator in the Western Galilee, was founded in early 2011 by Prof. Yizhar Floman, a renowned spine surgeon and CEO Uri Arnin, an experienced entrepreneur in the spinal implants sector. The firm's principle investors are Trendlines and US investors.
The surgical market for correcting deformities is worth $700 million annually with about 70,000 procedures performed.
