Teva CEO denies resignation threat

In response to reports of friction with the board Dr. Jeremy Levin said, "The opposite is the case: I intend to continue to manage this outstanding company and move it forward."

"I utterly deny the rumors implying that I am considering resigning from the management of Teva. This is a baseless report. The opposite is the case: I immigrated to Israel, have taken Israeli citizenship, and I intend to continue to manage this outstanding company and move it forward," said Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (NYSE: TEVA; TASE: TEVA) president and CEO Jeremy Levin in response to Channel 2 News report that he had threatened to resign because of interference in the company's management by the board of directors.

"Teva and its products have great importance and value for the company's patients, shareholders, and employees in Israel and around the world. It is a great honor and even privilege to lead Teva's development at this time. I have full confidence and trust in the expert team which will execute, with great success, the strategic plan which we drew up together," concluded Levin.
