Bennett: I don’t know how much I earned on Soluto

Economy Minister Naftali Bennett: My holdings are managed by a blind trust, but I've promised the employees of my office a day of fun at my expense.

"I've been asked how much I made," said Minister of the Economy Naftali Bennett on his Facebook in response to questions about how much he made from the sale of Soluto Ltd., where he briefly served as CEO. "In truth, I don’t know, and apparently I should not know, because my holdings are managed by a blind trust, but I've promised the employees of my office a day of fun at my expense."

Bennett added, "Congratulations to Soluto and its founder and CEO Tomer Dvir. You succeeded, and you're staying to grow in Israel."

As for the sale, Bennett wrote, "It's being said that the sale of a company is bad for the Israeli economy (vis-à-vis economic growth). I don’t agree, because it greatly depends. For now, Soluto's product will be exposed to many new users worldwide. Soluto's employees will be exposed to new R&D and marketing methods, which will improve their skills. I believe (but I am not certain) that more good jobs will be created in Israel. I also bet that Soluto's people will found at least 3-4 new companies."
