Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz: The agreement remains a bad one that will make a permanent solution harder.
Minister of Intelligence Yuval Steinitz today responded to the agreement signed earlier this morning between the six powers and Iran. "The changes that were inserted into the agreement at the last moment are far from satisfactory in our opinion, and the agreement was and remains a bad agreement that will make it harder to achieve a suitable solution in the future," he said.
"Like the failed agreement with North Korea, the present agreement could actually bring Iran closer to building the bomb. Israel cannot share in the global celebrations that are based on Iranian manipulation, and on self-delusion."
Steinitz added, "Despite the disappointment, we will continue to insist upon our position and work with our friends in the US and the entire world to achieve a comprehensive solution that will include a real and full dismantling of Iran's military nuclear infrastructures."
