1,413 homes in Rishon Lezion deposited for objections

The planned new neighborhood in the city's east is near Tzrifin.

Two weeks after the Central District Committee deposited the "Thousand Complex" plan in west Rishon Lezion for objections including 4,900 homes and 1.2 million square meters of commercial space, today, another plan, for the eastern part of the city, was also deposited.

The plan was initiated by the Israel Land Authority (ILA), and is for 184,000 square meters between Shikun Hamizrach and Tzrifin. The plan includes 1,413 housing units, areas for public and commercial buildings, and open public spaces. According to the proposed plan, which was promoted by “Tik Projects” and architect Ilan Shapira of Grynhaus Architects. Homes will cover 86,000 square meters, and will include single and two-family homes, up to two stories high, apartment buildings up to four stories high, apartment buildings up to six stories high, and residential buildings up to 23 stories high.

ILA Director General Benzi Lieberman said, “This is another plan being pushed forward by the Israel Lands Authority, which is intended to meet the ever-growing need for homes in central Israel.”

ILA Director of Planning Division Rafi Elimelech said, “The plan provides a framework scheme for the establishment of a new residential neighborhood with varied housing options for different target populations.”
