A senior Israeli diplomatic source has confirmed that Israel and the Palestinians have agreed to a 72-hour cease-fire beginning at midnight on Sunday night. The source said that the Israeli delegation would not join talks in Cairo until it becomes clear that the truce is being honored. "We won't talk under fire," the source said. Hamas has yet to confirm that it has agreed to the cease-fire. However, a Palestinian source did tell "Reuters" this evening that the Palestinians had agreed to the cease-fire.
