The contract with the Jordanian company is the first export deal, and the supply of gas from Tamar is due to begin flowing in 2017.

Senior executives from Jordanian company Arab Potash are visiting Israel to discuss technical conditions for facilitating exports of gas to Jordan, sources inform "Globes." The executives met with government company Israel National Gas Lines, which is responsible for the construction of gas pipelines in Israel, and with personnel from Noble Energy, which has ordered a pipeline to the Jordanian company. It is believed that the Israel gas pipeline will be connected to the Jordanian pipeline in two locations: north of Beit Shean and in the vicinity of the Dead Sea.

In February 2014, the Tamar partnership signed a letter of intent to export 1.8 BCM of natural gas to private customers in Jordan, including Arab Potash and Jordan Bromine. The National Planning and Building Commission has already approved construction of the infrastructure, and the cabinet has already approved the contract. The contract is the first export contract, and the supply of gas is due to begin flowing in 2017.

Israel National Gas Lines said in response, "As part of Israel National Gas Lines' deployment of a natural gas pipeline throughout Israel, the company is also building infrastructure for transporting natural gas to Jordan."
