Arkia Airlines Ltd. is launching a direct flight from Sde Dov Airport in Tel Aviv to the island of Mykonos in Greece. During the summer, Arkia operated a route from Sde Dov to Larnaca.
The flights to Mykonos will be during the holiday season. The first flight will take off on September 22, 2018. The flights on the route are likely to resume shortly before the Passover holiday in 2019.
Embraer jetliners will be used for the flights, with duty-free products being sold on board the airplane (instead of at the airport).
The advantage of the flight lies in Sde Dov's location in northern Tel Aviv and a quicker pre-flight procedure than at Ben Gurion Airport.
Ticket prices for the flights will be the same as on Arkia's route from Ben Gurion Airport to Mykonos, starting at $484 per person (during the holidays).
