Shanghai International Port (Group) Co. will operate the port for 25 years.
Shanghai International Port (Group) Co. (SIPG) has been awarded the Israel government tender to operate the new port being built in Haifa for 25 years. The new port is planned to commence operations in 2021.
SIPG was the only company that bid to operate the new Haifa port. The government must now consider two bids to operate the new Ashdod port from Germany's Eurogate and Holland's TIL.
