Tel Aviv District Court Judge Yehoshua Gefman imposed a gag order on the disclosure of Facebook Israel CEO Adi Soffer-Teeni's personal details. Gefman ruled that the restraining order would remain in effect until a ruling is made in the lawsuit filed by Soffer-Teeni againt Adv. Guy Ophir.
The judge also ruled that Ophir, who sought to publish Soffer-Teeni's particulars, must pay NIS 40,000 in court costs.
The affair began last month, when Ophir began a public protest against Facebook Israel and the global Facebook company in order to improve communications interfaces with the two companies.
Ophir alleged that both Facebook Israel and Facebook International were not providing ways of communicating with them, and could not be contacted in a crisis and when hostile content was published for the purpose of removing that content.
Ophir even personally went to the offices of Facebook Israel, located on Rothschild Blvd. in Tel Aviv, accompanied by a media team, for the purpose of object to the unavailability of any means of contacting Facebook Israel and Facebook International.
He threatened that unless his demand was granted, he would publish Soffer-Teeni's particulars as a way of "contacting" Facebook.
Following this threat, Soffer-Teeni petitioned the Tel Aviv District Court for a permanent restraining order on Ophir barring him from publishing any personal particulars relating to her.
