Elbit Systems has climbed one place to 29, the highest placed Israeli company, in the ranking of the world's defense companies.
The latest top 100 rankings of the world's leading defense companies by US magazine "Defense News" includes four Israel companies.
The highest ranked Israeli defense company is Elbit Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: ESLT; TASE: ESLT), which has moved up one place from 30 to 29 with 2014 defense revenue of $2.95 billion. Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) moves up to 32 from 35 with defense revenue of $2.785 billion, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems Ltd. moves up to 45 from 48 with 2014 defense revenue of 1.965 billion. Israel Military Industries Ltd. (IMI) has slipped to 99 from 94 with defense revenue of $475.8 million.
Of the four Israeli companies, Elbit Systems is the only non-government owned company although bids are currently being received in the process of privatizing IMI.
