Delta to launch second daily Tel Aviv - New York flight

The new service from next summer has been timed as a daytime departure from Tel Aviv, completing the existing night-time departure to offer customers more choice.

US carrier Delta Air Lines has announced that it is expanding its transatlantic network for summer 2019 with new routes and additional frequencies including a second daily flight between New York and Tel Aviv.

Delta said, The Tel Aviv service has been timed as a daytime departure from Tel Aviv, completing the existing night-time departure to offer customers more choice. Flights will be operated using A330-300 aircraft on the route, with flat-bed seats in the Delta One business class cabin. Delta has also recently upgraded its main cabin meal service to provide a restaurant-style dining experience in the sky complete with menu card and full drinks selection."

The new daily flight will depart New York's JFK airport at 3.35 pm and land in Tel Aviv at 9.35 am the following morning. The return flight leaves Tel Aviv at 11.35 am and lands at JFK at 4.50 pm.
