Fri: Banks, construction stocks lead indices higher

The banks bounced back on Friday, while the construction sector recorded the largest gains.

The main indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange rose on Friday. The Tel Aviv 35 Index rose 0.39%, to 4,171.90 points; the Tel Aviv 125 Index rose 0.46%, to 4,059.40 points; and the BlueTech Global Index rose 0.16%, to 628.48 points. The TelBond 60 corporate bond index %, to points. Turnover totaled NIS 1.93 billion in equities and NIS 1.96 billion in bonds.

In sector indices, the Tel Aviv Construction Index rose 2.5%, the Tel Aviv Chemicals Rubber and Plastics Index rose 2.41%, and the Tel Aviv Bank Index rose 1.31%.

On the foreign exchange market, the representative shekel-US dollar exchange rate was set 0.03% lower, at NIS 2.9910/$, and the representative shekel euro rate was set 0.15% higher, at NIS 3.5017/€.

Bank Leumi led trading of Friday, and rose 1.08%. Bank Hapoalim rose 1.03%; Discount Bank rose 1.43%; Tower Semiconductor fell 0.76%; and Clal Insurance rose 0.50%.

Notable advancers on Friday were Danya Cebus, up 5.77%; Prashkovsky, up 5.45%; Aryt, up 5.01%; Ackerstein, up 4.98%; and Cellcom, up 4.51%. Bet Shemesh Engines fell 4.24%, Nofar Energy fell 2.98%, Nayax fell 2.86%, and Gilat Satellite Systems fell 2.67%.
