The maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps will fall to NIS 6.07 on October 1.

The maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps in Israel will be lowered by NIS 0.02 per liter, from NIS 6.09 to NIS 6.07 on October 1 (midnight Wednesday night). The very small decrease comes on top of a NIS 0.29 price cut last month and a NIS 0.27 price cut at the beginning of August, due to the plummeting price of oil on world markets.

However, this month gasoline prices would have risen NIS 0.04 per liter but for the fact that the government has reduced VAT from 18% to 17%, resulting in an overall fall in prices.

The charge for full service gasoline will remain unchanged at NIS 0.19 per liter.

The maximum price of 95 octane gasoline at self-service pumps in Eilat where no VAT is charged will NIS 5.19 per liter, a rise of NIS 0.03 per liter.
