Givot Olam Oil Exploration has appointed Giora Eiland acting CEO.
Givot Olam Oil Exploration LP (TASE:GIVO.L) CEO Tovia Luskin has been fired, the company notified the TASE on Tuesday evening. Givot special consultant IDF Major General (res.) Giora Eiland has been appointed acting CEO.
Luskin began serving as Givot CEO on August 13, 2010. The company said that official reason for his ouster was "disagreements with and dissatisfaction of the board of directors about his performance as CEO."
Luskin (62) was surprised by the Givot board's decision, because he had been summoned for a pre-dismissal hearing. His partners, diamond trader Nogah Ben-David and Adv. Shmuel Laurence Becker, with whom he co-founded Givot, decided after 20 years to become involved in the company's management and showed Luskin the door.
