Chinese telecommunications equipment giant Huawei has announced a return to full activity in Israel, and a restructuring of its service, marketing and sales network here. The company says it has chosen Bug, Ronlight Digital and KSP as exclusive importers, and that it is in advanced talks with the mobile carriers. Huawei will probably sell to the carriers directly, while sales on the open market will be via the designated importers.
Huawei halted its activity in Israel in the past few months following a breakdown in its relationship with Electra Consumer Products, with which it had an exclusive marketing agreement for Israel. The two companies are embroiled in legal proceedings after Electra Consumer Products sued Huawei for breach of the agreement.
Huawei said in a press release that within the next few days it would offer official imports of its most advanced products, among them its flagship P20 and P20 pro telephones. The company is also offering a repairs and spare parts service in Israel.
Huawei has chosen CPM as its official service provider in Israel, and has committed to renewal of the stock of spare parts and accessories at all its official repair and sales points and at the repair labs of the mobile carriers in Israel.
