IAI signs Air Canada maintenance deal

Israel Aerospace Industries will implement the carrier's B787 line maintenance requirements at Ben Gurion Airport.

Israel Aerospace Industries Ltd. (IAI) (TASE: ARSP.B1) Bedek Aviation Group has signed an agreement with Air Canada to implement the airline's B787 line maintenance requirements at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv.

Air Canada VP Maintenance and Engineering Alan Butterfield said, "We are very pleased with the line maintenance work performed and the excellent working relationship that has developed with IAI's Bedek Aviation Group. This contract assures Air Canada of a quality solution for our B787 line maintenance needs at Ben Gurion International Airport through IAI Bedek's extensive and proven capabilities in this field."

IAI EVP and Bedek Aviation Group general manager Yossi Melamed said, "We are proud that Air Canada, a leading international airline, has selected IAI Bedek as the line maintenance provider for its B787 aircraft, thus enhancing the existing contract for the B767 Heavy Maintenance MRO. With over 60 years' experience in servicing a wide range of narrow and wide body aircraft for Boeing and Airbus fleets, we look forward to continuing to provide Air Canada with our unsurpassed standards of quality, customer service and on-time delivery.
