Two of the airline's flight attendants star in a major ad for low-cost flights to Israel to be aired throughout North America.

The buzz over the past week regarding the launching of flights between Tel Aviv and Reykjavik by Icelandic low-cost airline WOW has been the availability of flights between Tel Aviv and North American destinations starting from $149.

However, there are two sides to the coin. WOW's cheap fares not only benefit Israelis travelling to the US and Canada but also North American tourists wishing to visit Israel. With this latter aim in mind, WOW bought two of its stewardesses to Israel last week for a photo shoot to promote tourism to Israel.

Dressed in their purple uniforms and wearing sunglasses, the female flight attendants are seen on Tel Aviv beach, stripping down to bikinis to surf the Mediterranean float in the Dead Sea, sampling the culinary delights of the Carmel Market, walking around ancient Jaffa, and riding a camel. The two stars of the clip are real WOW stewardesses and not actresses or models.

The clip produced appears on WOW's Facebook page and will be part of a major ad campaign in North America, which describes Israel's beaches as a "Garden of Eden."

Since the start of the year 1.09 million overseas tourists have entered Israel, up 26% from 850,000 in the first four months of last year, according to the Ministry of Tourism, and all indications are that the record of 3.54 million tourists from 2013 will be broken this year.
