The embassy is also active in the French media, emphasizing how gravely Israel regards the boycott statement by Orange CEO Stephane Richard.

The Orange kerfuffle continues: while Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) is emphasizing to its customers that it is a completely Israeli company in order to stop its subscribers from leaving, Israel is taking diplomatic action in order to minimize the damage sustained from the remarks by the CEO of Orange International Stephane Richard.

Israel today demanded that France condemn the Orange CEO's support for boycotting Israel. The Israeli embassy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of the Economy have been in contact with the French government all during the day.

The embassy is also active in the French media, emphasizing how gravely Israel regards the statement by the Orange CEO. At the same time, a wave of protest by French Jewish organizations has begun.

"Under the direction of Deputy Foreign Minister Tzipi Hotovely, the Israeli embassy in Paris is taking strong action to express its dismay and to clarify its expectations that immediately clarifications will be made in the matter," Israeli Ambassador to France Yossi Gal said today.
