The Israeli food tech delivery company plans to raise A$6.5 million on the Australian stock exchange next month.

Israeli food technology delivery company Dragontail Systems is set to raise A$6.5 million in an IPO on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in November.

The man behind the company - Yehuda Shamai, who serves as a non-executive director, is well known in the Israeli fast food business.

He has established and managed large Israeli entities with international brands such as Pizza Hut, KFC and Domino’s Pizza. These chains pose enormous business challenges in Israel, and Shamai was only successful with Pizza Hut, which he acquired from Dor Alon and as far as is known moved it to profit.

Founded in 2013, and based in Ramat Gan, Dragontail Systems has developed optimization processes for the food preparation and delivery industry. The software is based on algorithms that take into account the amount of time it takes to deliver the food orders from the restaurant to the customer and allocates work to the various delivery personnel. Thus the software manages full management of the kitchen and delivery network. This Results in major improvement for business efficiency, lowering costs, improving customer service and allowing customers to track the progress of their order. Management receives a comprehensive report of the restaurant's performance including special emphasis on late deliveries and other problems.
