The average salary in April was NIS 9,504, compared with NIS 9,872 in March.

The average salary in April was NIS 9,504, compared with NIS 9,872 in March, and employment totaled 3,311,000, according to Central Bureau of Statistics figures. The average salary rose by an annualized 3.5% in February-April, following a 2.9% increase in November 2014-January 2015.

Wages in constant prices were up by an annualized 4.2% in February-April, following a 4.0% increase in November 2014-January 2015.

The average salary jumped 9.9% in the information and communications sector in February-April, after rising by the same rate in November 2014-January 2015. Wages were down by an annualized 8.9% in the real estate sector in February-April, after rising by an annualized 2.5% in November 2014-January 2015.

The figures show stability in the annualized number of jobs in February-April, following a 1.3% rise in November 2014-January 2015. The number of jobs in arts, entertainment and recreation jumped 4% in February April, while the number of jobs in accommodation and food service activities was down 3.8%.
