Madonna has opened talks to buy an apartment in the Meier-on-Rothschild project, the "Daily Mail" reports.
Madonna is in talks to buy an apartment in Tel Aviv's Meier-on-Rothschild tower, Britain's "Daily Mail' reports. The UK newspaper reported that the US singer was 'pictured clutching a brochure," when the project was first announced in 2013, and has reportedly opened talks to buy a unit in the exclusive residential high-rise. One penthouse apartment is on offer for $54 million.
The paper also links Israeli-born actress Natalie Portman with interest in buying an apartment in Meier-on-Rothschild.
The 42-floor building is owned by Berggruen Residential Ltd. (TASE:BRGN.B1), owned by US billionaire Nicholas Berggruen, and Hagag Group Real Estate Development Ltd. (TASE: HGG), controlled by Tzahi and Ido Haga and Achim Cohen Ltd. It was designed by Richard Meier and the chief contractor is Dori Group Ltd. (TASE: DORI).
