New Kiryat Malachi railway station opens

Construction began on the station in 2011 but was repeatedly delayed due to a lack of budget.

Trains began stopping at the new Kiryat-Malachi-Yoav railway station on Tuesday. The station is located on the main line from Tel Aviv to Beersheva, eight kilometers from Kiryat Malachi, alongside the section of Road 6 north of Kiryat Gat. The station will serve tens of thousands of residents in the Kiryat Malachi region.
