Trains began stopping at the new Kiryat-Malachi-Yoav railway station on Tuesday. The station is located on the main line from Tel Aviv to Beersheva, eight kilometers from Kiryat Malachi, alongside the section of Road 6 north of Kiryat Gat. The station will serve tens of thousands of residents in the Kiryat Malachi region. Construction began on the station in 2011 but was repeatedly delayed due to a lack of budget.
