The Tamar and Leviathan gas field operator is leasing 13,000-sq.m. in the Herzliya Hills office project.

Noble Energy Inc. (NYSE: NBL) is expanding its operations and work force in Israel. The US company, which operates the Tamar and Leviathan gas fields, has announced that it is leasing nine floors in the Herzliya Hills office project near the Hasira Interchange, being built by Azorim Investment, Development and Construction Ltd. (TASE: AZRM) and Ofer Investments. Noble Energy's new offices will be in the north wing of the project and will encompass 13,000 square meters.

Noble Energy will lease the offices for 10 years with an option to extend the lease by a further 14 years. The lease includes 174 parking spaces in the project's underground car park.

Noble Energy VP for regional affairs Bini Zomer said, "The flow of gas from Leviathan at the end of 2019 and the continued successful operations at Tamar will increase the scale of Noble Energy's operations in Israel.

Because of Noble energy's major increase of its work force in Israel, Zomer said that the company had sought out offices that would meet the unique needs of a company in the energy sector with the highest and most flexible standards of construction.

Zomer added, "Noble Energy will be operating in Israel for many years to come and so from this long-term perspective, we chose the Herzliya Hills project to serve as the base for the company's operations and employees in the coming decades."

Ofer Investments VP sales and marketing Sharon Sheetrit said, "The Herzliya Hills office project is exceptional and contains the perfect mix of uses. We're happy that a leading international company like Noble Energy chose us because of our strategic perspective of quality construction and a location that provides convenient access throughout Greater Tel Aviv."

Noble Energy has 200 employees in Israel at its current offices in Herzliya, gas terminal in Ashdod and the Tamar and Mary-B offshore rigs. The company will move into its new Herzliya Hills offices in 2019.

Herzliya Hills will also include dozens of luxury homes, a sports center for tenants, and a commercial center.
