Two days after launching its television service, Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) today announced that 5,000 customers had already registered for Partner TV. The company added that it was opening registration for an additional 5,000 customers.
Registration of these customers is in advance and non-binding. The registration report is in the interests of Partner's public relations; the company wants to show that there is interest in its service.
Partner said that the registration response was far beyond its expectations, and that it was preparing to step up the pace of installing, which would begin late next month.
The Partner TV service includes a 4K converter and viewing of all 40 channels, including all five sports channels broadcast in Israel: 5Gold, 5Live, 5Plus, 5Sport, and 5Sport HD. Also included are recordings, VOD, and Catch Up on up to five screens for a single subscription (television, smartphone, or tablet). The price is NIS 69 a month. Customers who also want Netflix service will pay an additional NIS 20 a month, and a triple package will cost NIS 129 without Netflix and NIS 149 with Netflix.
A technician will install the service at the customer's home at no extra cost.
