New customers for Partner TV will now be offered seven premium sports channel free for one year.

After crossing the 100,000 subscriber threshold for its over-the-Internet TV service, Partner Communications Ltd. (Nasdaq: PTNR; TASE: PTNR) is discontinuing its 6-months Netflix for free offer for new customers. The Netflix offer gave its subscriber recruitment drive a strong boost.

Those already signed-up for the Netflix offer will continue to receive it for free for six months but new subscribers to Partner TV will now receive Netflix free for only one month after which the service costs NIS 30 per month. Instead, Partner TV will offer something that may tempt many new subscribers - seven premium sports channels for free for one year. These channels would otherwise cost NIS 600 per year.

Partner is also raising its Triple and Bundle prices by NIS 10 from NIS 129 per month to NIS 139 per month.

Partner said, "Partner is continuing its successful cooperation with Netflix, which is the first of its kind in Israel. More than 100,000 customers are enjoying the ultimate combination of Partner TV, Israel's most advanced TV service, with Netflix service built into their TV box and with a special button on the remote control. In addition, from this week all new customers joining Partner TV will receive premium sports channels at no cost for a year, saving them NIS 600.

Partner TV prices begin at NIS 69 per month.
