10 bicycle rental stations in Ramat Gan have been added to the 160 throughout Tel Aviv and Givatayim.
The Tel-O-Fun Tel Aviv bicycle rental service has been inaugurated in neighboring Ramat Gan. Ten new docking stations have opened around the city including at the Diamond Exchange and Ramat Gan Stadium near the Azrieli Ayalon Mall.
Tel-O-Fun, introduced by Tel Aviv Municipality in 2011, offers 1,500 distinctive lime-green bicycles from 150 docking stations around the city. Users can rent the bikes for NIS 17-23 per day with a credit card and also pay for weekly, monthly and annual subscriptions. Bikes can be taken from one docking station and returned to any other.
Last year neighboring city Givatayim also joined the scheme with 10 docking stations.
Tel Aviv has 70 kilometers of dedicated cycle paths including the seafront promenade. Ramat Gan has yet to introduce cycle paths but Mayor Yisrael Zinger promises that such paths will be paved over the coming few years.
