Israel's unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in November, while the rate of participation in the workforce rose.
Israel's unemployment rate fell to 5.6% in November from 5.7% in October, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported today. The percentage of men unemployed fell to 5.6%, while the percentage of women unemployed was unchanged at 5.7%.
According to the figures, the number of people participating in the workforce in November was 3.822 million, of whom 3.607 million were employed (a rise of 0.8%) and 215 thousand were unemployed. The rate of participation in the workforce rose to 64.5% in November from 64.1% in October.
The number of people in full-time employment rose by 1.2% in November in comparison with October 9an additional 32 thousand people). The number of people in part-time employment rose by 1% 9an additional 8,000 people).
