Verint Systems acquires Texas co Teligent

Security, surveillance and business intelligence company Verint Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: VRNT) saw its share price rise 2.2% on Nasdaq yesterday, giving a market cap of $3.64 billion, after announcing the acquisition of Telligent. Texas-based Telligent provides software for customer support and digital marketing communities. Verint did not disclose financial details about the acquisition and it is safe to assume the amount was immaterial for Verint.

Verint Enterprise Intelligence Solutions and Verint Video and Situation Intelligence Solutions president Elan Moriah said, “This acquisition extends our offering and introduces a host of advanced capabilities that will enable us to offer an even more comprehensive solution to help our customers address digital transformation, social selling and customer self-service head on.”

Formerly part of Comverse, Verint held its IPO in 2002 and completely separated from Comverse in 2013. Headquartered in Melville New York, the company's development center is in Herzliya. Dan Bodner is Verint's CEO.
