One of Israel's longest-established, largest, leading and most distinguished law firms Zellermayer, Pelossof, Rosovsky, Tsafrir, Toledano & Advocates has closed down.
The disintegration of the firm began on January 10 with the unexpected desertion of Doni Toledano and his litigation team to rival firm Erdinast Ben Nathan & Co. Shortly afterwards, another senior partner Eyal Rosovsky and his litigation team deserted to rivals Meitar Liquornik Geva Leshem Tal & Co.
Today, sources inform "Globes" that founding partner Michael Zellermayer, 73, has also jumped ship and is joining rivals Fischer Behar Chen Well Orion & Co. as a senior partner in the mergers and acquisitions department. Zellermayer may be leaving alone but the lawyer nicknamed the 'deal champion" will take with him a long list of clients and deals not to mention connections, knowhow and skills.
Founded in 1984, Zellermayer, Pelossof, Rosovsky, Tsafrir, Toledano & Advocates was for many years a top-20 Israeli law firm in terms of size although in the latest Dun's 100-Globes rankings it had slipped to 30th place.
