Maalot commercial center begins to rise

Like other Zim Centers, it will be anchored by a sister supermarket.

Zim Group Ltd. has begun construction of the Zim Centers mall in Maalot-Tarshiha in the Galilee, at an investment of NIS 70 million. 60% of the 12,300-square meter mall has already been leased. Built on a 22-dunam (5.5-acre) lot, the mall will offer, in addition to stores and entertainment, office space and community services.

Like other Zim Centers, it will be anchored by a Kimat Hinam Ltd. ("Almost Free Warehouses") supermarket, an independent retail chain owned by Zim Group. Zim Group is owned in equal shares by brothers, chairman Rani Zim and Adi Zim.

Rani Zim said, "This is a project in the Maalot town center, the best location in town. The shopping center will attract local residents for shopping and entertainment.
