Automated document recognition company Top Image Systems Ltd. (Nasdaq: TISA; TASE:TISA) will automate data for the Belarus census.
Tom Image's solution will review approximately 170,000 pages per day and transmit the extracted information into an Oracle database, delivering results in less than six months. Its eFLOW 4.5 will review survey forms from about 10 million citizens.
Deputy head of Belarus's statistical office and head of the population census department Ms. Novoselova said that the Committee of Statistics of the Republic of Belarus will employ eight times less staff than in the previous census project.
So far, TIS has delivered seventeen censuses worldwide, including in Ireland, South Africa, India, Brazil, Italy, and the Slovak Republic.
Top Image executive VP Omri Gelb said, "We are proud to be selected for the first population census among the CIS countries."
Top Image shares closed yesterday at $0.67, giving a market cap of $6.25 million.
