The deal is worth about $3-4 million and will enable Ex Libris to add a Scandinavian branch to its operations.
Jerusalem-based library automation software developer Ex Libris Group has acquired the library division of Fujitsu Services, which serves as the company's distributor in northern Europe. The deal is worth about $3-4 million and will enable Ex Libris to add a Scandinavian branch to its operations. The company already has 10 other branches worldwide.
This is an additional acquisition for Ex Libris, which in 2007 acquired Endeavor for $30-40 million. The library software company itself was sold to Leeds Equity Partners in 2008 for $170 million.
Ex-Libris said that it has 200 libraries that are customers in Scandinavia.
