IBM chooses Mellanox switches

Mellanox's share price fell 0.6% on Nasdaq yesterday, and fell 2.9% in early trading on the TASE today.

IBM Corporation (NYSE: IBM) has selected a range of Mellanox Technologies Ltd's (Nasdaq:MLNX; TASE:MLNX) IniBand and Ethernet adapters and switches for IBM’s hardware solutions, including iDataPlex servers. The adapters and switches can be used in data centers, Cloud, Web 2.0 and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.

IBM VP System X Servers Roland Hagan said, “Mellanox adapters and switches complement our Intelligent Cluster and iDataPlex products, giving IBM customers both performance and efficiency benefits that are critical ingredients for increased flexibility and higher return."

Mellanox's share price fell 0.6% on Nasdaq yesterday to $22.40, and fell 2.9% in early trading on the TASE today to NIS 82.51, in line with the general market slide.
