Mazor Surgical Technologies Ltd. (TASE:MZOR) today reported the first sales of its GO-LIF spine implants in Germany. The company already has sales of the implants in Russia.
Mazor directly handles sales of its products in Germany through its sales team, while in Russia it uses a distributor. The company already has sales of its SpineAssist robotic spinal surgical system and of the system's disposable components.
Mazor says that GO-LIF spine implants cost €1,000-1,800 each in Europe, and the company expects the price in the US to reach $5,000-8,000.
In a separate development, Mazor said that 50 spinal procedures using the SpineAssist have been successfully completed in Israel, Germany, and Russia. The procedures were for the insertion of GO-LIF implants between vertebrae in the lower back and lumbar areas.
Mazor's share price rose 5.7% by midday to NIS 9.20, giving a market cap of NIS 182 million.
