Flight Medical Innovations Ltd. (TASE: FLGM) has obtained US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) marketing approval for its Flight 60 portable ventilator. The company obtained EU CE Mark certification for the product in January.
Flight Medical is building marketing networks in both Europe, the US, and in other countries, and expects to begin sales in the fourth quarter of this year. The company is also seeking to obtain regulatory approval in China and other countries.
The Flight 60 portable ventilator is suited for patients from infants to adults. It measures exhalation volume, can be programmed via a touch screen, and can operate autonomously for up to 12 hours.
Flight Medical's share price rose 12.4% in morning trading to NIS 0.30, giving a market cap of NIS 85 million.
