Workers call off planned Ben Gurion strike

The move follows involvement by Transport Minister Yisrael Katz.

Employees have called off a threatened 6am strike at Ben Gurion Airport on Thursday, the first day of the Rosh Hashana holiday. The move follows involvement by Transport Minister Yisrael Katz.

Management and workers will meet on Sunday to discuss pension issues that led to the threatened move. Late night discussions were held last night to prevent the strike.
