Katz also reiterated his support for the Dan region light rail, and its proposed Tel Aviv red line, saying, "There is no other public transportation option that gives a solution to masses of hundreds of millions of passengers."
Beginning in 2011, trucks will not be allowed to enter Tel Aviv between 6:00-9:00 in the morning, said Minister of Transport Yisrael Katz. Katz spoke this morning at a public transportation conference in Tel Aviv.
Katz said that the NTA Metropolitan Mass Transit System has been working for two months to prepare appropriate parking sites, similar to the existing situation in Jerusalem.
Katz also reiterated his support for the Dan region light rail, and its proposed Tel Aviv red line, saying, "The red line itself is set to carry 100 million passengers per year. There is no other public transportation option that gives a solution to masses of hundreds of millions of passengers."
